The Dedication of the Long Distance Walker

Here's LW's Richard III paying tribute to a marathon London Walker who joined us on almost two-dozen London Walks this month!

This is Paul Wakelin (centre of the picture above, wearing the baseball cap).

He is from Bradwell in Derbyshire.

He went on 23 walks between 20th and 28th of September.

The picture above was taken on the All Change at St. Pancras Walk.

Richard III, scion of a Lord Mayor of London,  is a writer, actor, director and stand-up comic. And the only London Walks guide to have addressed the United Nations!

3000 Blog Posts! Thanks For Reading!

Dear Daily Constitutionalists and London Walkers,

We've just gone past the 3000 blog posts mark here on The Daily Constitutional – and we couldn't do it without you!

Thanks to everyone who reads, contributes and joins us on London Walks!

We'll start our blogging journey toward 4000 posts (!) later today with a shout out to a MARATHON London Walker written by London Walks guide and Daily Constitutional stalwart Richard III. We'll also post an extraordinary little film raising awareness for fully accessible tube stations.

Thanks again!

Adam

In & Around London… NFL at Wembley Part Two #NFLUK

Monday is mute on The Daily Constitutional (well, almost mute) – because Monday is the day when we post five images captured in and around London by London Walks Guides and London Walkers.

Collated on a theme or an area, if you've got some great shots of our capital and want to join in send your pictures to the usual address.

A great night was had at Wembley last night – thanks again to the Miami Dolphins for their outstanding hospitality!

The great Sam Madison with our very own Donald Rumbelow, world's leading expert on the Jack the Ripper case

A London Walk costs £10 – £8 concession. To join a London Walk, simply meet your guide at the designated tube station at the appointed time. Details of all London Walks can be found at www.walks.com.

Thanks to all at the Miami Dolphins for having us as their guests at Wembley last night!

LW's David had led the Dolphins' staff on a walking tour last Thursday and we look forward to seeing them again here in London. Here's our first batch of pics (it's a two-pert series this week)…

There's always a Cheesehead. These Green Bay Packers fans joined in the fun all the way from… Manchester!

Not a sight often seen at Tottenham Hotspur v Crystal Palace

One that got away

A Raiders fan wends his weary way home having seen his team go down by 38-14. Do pirates always stand in line to top-up their Oyster cards?
